Bailey is a Communicative Disorders Assistant and homeschooling mother.
She specializes in paediatric language development in the speech therapy setting, teaching toddlers and kinders essentially, “how to talk”.
Bailey also had two wonderful home births after studying both The Bradley Method and Hypnobirthing. Although she loves doulas and midwives, she is not one. She is a mama who had very informed, empowered, birth experiences. She wants that for you, too.

How does one just “teach toddlers to talk” you might ask? Well..
As Dr. Seuss once stated “The more that you read, the more that you’ll know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. As such, Bailey believes that reading together opens doors to future communication of all kinds. She takes the abstract concept of reading a book and makes it more concrete by bringing short stories to life using story retell activities of every nature (digitally and physically using felt story characters in combination with felt boards as well as video readings). She takes read aloud one step further by using children’s books as the underlying theme for building language in various forms at differing levels.
Bailey holds a bachelor of arts (honours) in psychology and linguistics with a focus in childhood development and a post-graduate certificate that certifies her as a Communicative Disorders Assistant. Upon graduation, she went on to work in private practice. The clinic owner quickly realized that Bailey’s unique skill set was best geared towards the youngest of clients, and so she then specialized in creating therapy materials for and administering language therapy to children under the age of 6. Bailey created hundreds of therapy programs that she now shares both digitally and physically for you to use at home with your littles, in the classroom with your students, or in the speech and language clinic with your clients.
What We Do
Interactive read aloud is great for every child and will take learning to new heights, new levels of curiosity, and new relationships in the bonding that will become of it. Bailey creates beautiful visuals that keep little ones engaged, and provide a necessary component for children on the autism spectrum, with auditory or visual processing disorders, Down’s syndrome, delayed communication, or other developmental delays.
When We Do It
Bailey’s favourite way to learn about literacy with little ones is to choose one classic story, and focus on that particular story for anywhere from one week to one month, depending on the needs of each child. Every single story that Bailey shares on her website, tackles a variety of skill sets, that you can read about here.
